Do you like tacos? How about dip? *raises hand*
It's time for Monday Night Football! That means easy meals, appetizers, + anything to make my life easier! I've been making this taco dip since I was about 9-10 years old. We would have it at every super bowl party, and a few football days throughout the year.
Takes less than 10 minutes & I haven't found a soul who doesn't like it.
You know, that ONE drop of tomato juice is bothering me so bad.......but I am full of mistakes and I love to show that lol.
It is super important you let your cream cheese come to room temp. Otherwise you will have an un-even bottom mixture in the taco dip. So yeah, that's the only complicated thing about this dip. If you can mix with your hand and chop veggies you're in business.
My stand mixer improves my life so much. If you don't have one, get one! Save up for it, it is totally worth it.
After you mix, you'll want to add in your seasonings. I used cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, garlic, and mrs. dash southwest chipotle seasoning. You can easily use a taco seasoning packet however have you looked at how much sodium is in one of those. It says 310 mg for the "low sodium" but that is just ONE serving. Do 310mg times 6 and that's how much is in one packet.
I feel like I shouldn't have to explain much here. Here's me pouring my mix into my casserole dish. One day I'll actually get a camera where it's good quality....sorry guys!
After you prepare all of your veggies (onion, tomato, bagged lettuce, canned olives), you're going to layer them one by one.
Don't go out on a date after this one.....onion breath for days!
& That is it! I also like to top it off with cilantro just to add that extra flavor. When I get a house one day I'll grow it like no tomorrow watch me.
Dips are easy and they are crowd pleasers. Let me know if there are any specific dips you want me to put on the blog next!
