I have never made crepes in my life. My friend Julianna posted them on Insta recently, & I was like uhhhh yeah this is happening today, whether I fail or succeed.
Surprisingly....I didn't mess it up!! WOO!
It's pretty easy though, not going to lie. I made them a second time this last week or so before work....don't ask me how I accomplished that sorcery.
I am sure you all have these ingredients in your pantry too!
-1 cup of Flour
-1 1/2 cups of Milk
-2 Tablespoons of Sugar
-1 Tablespoon of melted butter
-1 Teaspoon of vanilla
-1/2 teaspoon of salt
In a mixing bowl, combine your flour, eggs, salt
+ in the meantime, melt your butter in a mug in the microwave. Don't let it explode everywhere like I do everytime.
**The 2nd time I made these, I put this in a food processor and it helped with the mixing...tremendously**
Add in your vanilla.
Now let your mix sleep for 30 minutes. Let it take it's nap...
After it rests, heat up your skillet and brush it with a thin layer of butter.
When you pour the batter in the pan, swish the batter around and around until it stops moving. This will allow it to kind of creep up the sides of the pan to help you flip it better.
+ What you flip it with is SO important. I am so glad I have this weapon in my kitchen.
This is when it it somewhat ready to flip. Make sure you take your spatula around the edges so it will be easier to flip!
I am really proud I pulled these off!
Once your crepes are done, time to fill.
A thin layer of nutella is all thats needed. Then you rollup and top with powdered sugar and fruit! I can't wait to try other combos soon!
Spreads nutella on life.
I am trying to be a pro here.....is it working?
Till next crepe,
