Healthy Chai Tea Latte
We all love the Chai Tea from Starbucks and other coffee shops. However, what you don't know is what's really creeping behind all those yummy drinks we love! Lots of sugars and bad stuff! I studied a lot of nutrition in college and I have used what I learned to my advantage......adulting by making my favorite things healthy!
There is always an alternative.... & this Chai Latte is one of them.

What you will need:
Organic Chai Tea Packets (this is easier because it has all the herbs and spices)
Almond Milk, Cashew Milk, Whole Milk (personal preference)
Maple Syrup or Agave
Frother or Frother attachment (See this one on amazon)
Cinnamon to top it off (Maybe even some whipped cream.....yassssss get it)
First step is to brew your tea. I let it steep about 10 minutes.
Once it is steeped, I add it to a small sauce pan.
Next add in your milk of choice. I chose this one from #TraderJoes.
How much you add is a personal preference. I just add enough to where it looks like a creamier consistency. If I were to measure maybe 1/4 cup? Not too sure. Just eye ball it until it turns to a light tan color.
Next add in your vanilla extract. About 1/2 to 1 teaspoon! I really like vanilla flavor so I added in about 1 teaspoon. However, I eyeball everything lol.
Next I add in the maple syrup! This is also a personal preference because we all like our drinks either super sweet or not so sweet. I'd say it was 1-2 Teaspoons? I just eyed it and tasted with a spoon just to make sure!
Make sure you mix everything together! After, keep it on low-medium until it starts to warm up and you start seeing these tiny bubbles. That is your cue to start frothing the chai tea.
I have a frother on my Ninja Coffee Bar so I use that one. However, the frother I linked up will work just fine and you can froth it in the pan and then pour in your cup.
This is what it will look like when it is frothed! A nice frothy top! I'm saying froth a lot.....this is awkward.
Top it off with cinnamon and you're good to go!
I made sure to make it quick and easy for you all because I understand how busy those mornings get! This recipe is so good you'll want to share it with everyone! Your co-worker will be like "Mmm that smells good, is that a chai tea latte?" & You'll be like "Yeah girl, its healthy too, I'm adulting to the max".
Are you all done with me yet? I'm done with myself after that comment LOL.
