Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Updated: Dec 4, 2019

Whenever I visit P.F. Changs, I make sure to go straight for the crab wontons and the chicken lettuce wraps! I don’t even really like P.F. Changs, but those two goodies will get me every time!

The other day I tried something new that I have never attempted. Which, indeed, was the lettuce wraps! I used the cheater way because let’s get real, I get home at close to 7 PM each night, and I didn’t want to make my own stir-fry sauce from scratch. This girl is tired! But you know what, no one has to know that. If you cook these for someone, tell them it’s from scratch, they’ll believe you lol.

If you would like to see my cheater chicken lettuce wraps, come on down! The price is right!

All you need is:

-Ground chicken

-Trader Joes Tsao Stir-Fry Sauce

-Green Onions

-Salt/Pepper/Garlic Powder

-Butter Lettuce

First step is to cook your ground chicken. You know, I don’t use ground chicken much so this was kind of new for me. As long as you cook until no longer pink, you shall be good.

Next chop up your mushrooms. This added great flavor into the chicken mix. I didn’t chop them up perfectly because mushrooms shrink anyway!

I made sure to add in a table spoon of butter to keep the chicken moist and help the mushrooms cook down a little better.

Once the mushies have cooked down and everything is combined, add in your sauce. This is where you can substitute homemade sauce if needed. If you choose to go that route the recipe is as follows:

These are my two favorites.

I personally used about half of the Trader Joes Tsao Sauce. It was still just as delicious!

After I added the sauce, I just let it simmer for a couple of minutes to really soak that flavor into the chicken and mushrooms.

Now before you load up your wraps, chop up your green onion. This will add in a little extra flavor.

I used this cute butter lettuce as my wrap. Can lettuce be cute? Uhhhh, yeah it can. It even has its roots still! :D

Now these wraps are a great carb alternative if you are trying to watch those. I’m not trying to watch carbs, but these were just super refreshing, easy, & a very great weeknight dinner idea.

Before you know it, I’ll be mastering all different kinds of food. Even if I cheat making them…..oops.
